The HutchColor HCT is a target from Hutcheson Consulting, available in a number of formats for both transparency and print. It contains over 500 discrete color patches arranged in 22 rows (A through V) and 29 columns (1 through 29), including a 63-step gray scale. More information about the HCT is available at http://www.hutchcolor.com/HCT_overview.htm.
Reference files may be found on the CD that is included with the target, and are also available online at http://www.hutchcolor.com/HCT_data.htm.
Each HCT is identified by a 4-digit serial number, either printed on a sticker, scratched in the film border, or printed on the frame (35mm). In the case of 35mm targets, which are produced in small batches, you should use the reference file whose two code numbers define a range that includes your serial number. For example, if you have 35mm target number 6195, you should use reference file number '6190-6219'. The other targets are all individually measured, so there is one unique reference file for your particular target. You must use the reference file with exactly the same number as your target.
If you are unable to find your reference file on the CD, your target was measured after the CD was produced. All reference files are available online.
