How to Configure EditLab Pro to

What is OneClick Color Technology?
OneClick Color Technology
, the foundation of iCorrect OneClick Photoshop Plug-in, is based on Pictographics award winning Color Edit technology used in iCorrect EditLab Pro plug-in and iCorrect EditLab ProApp stand alone application. OneClick is, in fact, a "hardwired version" of EditLab Pro's SmartColor Wizard configured to simplify color correction of photos to a single click and serve as an entry level to PictoColor's advanced color correction software. There is a simple way to configure EditLab's SmartColor Preference Settings so that it acts just like OneClick. This tutorial will lead you through the process.

Help for OneClick Users
Don't let iCorrect EditLab Pro's Tabs and Buttons intimidate you
. EditLab's opening screen (Tab 1) will work the same as OneClick's when you configure EditLab's OneClick SmartColor settings--simply click on white, gray to activate auto color correction.

  1. With an image open select iCorrect EditLab from the Filters Menu (PictoColor/iCorrect EditLab Pro 6.0).
  2. Open the Preference window by clicking on Preferences (next to the Undo button).
  3. Check the "Start all tool tabs the same way" box and the "Use Largest Possible Window" box.
  4.  Click on the Smart Color Prefs button.
  5. Check the Saturation box and change the Preferred Saturation pull down selection to 90 (you might want to experiment with settings to determine best setting for your images)
  6. Click OK to close SmartColor Preference box and OK to close Preferences panel.
  7. Close EditLab to set new settings.
  8. When you re-open EditLab it will automatically set the Auto White/Black points, adjust brightness, contrast and saturation.
  9. Click on a couple of neutral areas (white, black, or gray) to remove color cast and you are finished.

OneClick Enhancements are in Tab 3 in EditLab Pro
Yes, you still have the Enhancement adjustments of OneClick for further tweaking of brightness, contrast, and saturation. Click on Tab 3 for these adjustments.

Temperature and Tint
If you prefer to use Temperature and Tint adjustments instead of the auto color cast removal feature in EditLab go to Tab 1 and select "2-sliders" from the pull down menu marked "neutrals" at the top.

Built in Help/User Guide
If you have a question and need some help, iCorrect EditLab Pro has both a Help feature and direct access to the online User Guide. Simply click on the blue question mark symbol and the answer will pop up along with a link to the section of the User Guide if you need more information.
