The previous chapters have taught the skills for creating a color correction function. Now it is time to use that function. There are four choices available, each of which will be discussed on the pages that follow:
Editing the Image | • | The edit is used to color correct the current image only. |
Editing a Profile | • | The edit is used to edit an existing ICC input profile. |
Creating a Profile | • | The edit is used to create an ICC input profile. |
Creating a ColorCircuit | • | The edit is used to create a ColorCircuit for use with ColorCircuitQ. |
The choice among these four is made using the Preferences.
Shortcut Tip: In EditLab's main window, you can cycle through the four modes by holding down the key while clicking the button in the lower right corner.
Shortcut Tip: In EditLab's main window, if you hold down the Control key while clicking the "Edit Profile…", "Create Profile…" or "Create ColorCircuit…" button (but not the "Edit Image" button), control will return to EditLab afterwards. This allows you to "use" the same edit in more than one way, if you want.
Select the desired mode before proceeding. Each of the following pages will assume the EditLab has been placed into that mode.
